CLĀR (“the App”) is a food inflammation scanning tool operated by Andrew Gray (“we”, “us”). We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.
Camera access: The App uses your device camera solely to scan product barcodes. No images are stored, transmitted, or retained.
Food diary entries: Products you scan and add to your diary are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.
Symptom check-ins: Optional daily symptom ratings are stored locally on your device.
Sensitivity settings: Your ingredient sensitivity preferences are stored locally on your device.
Blood test results: If you enter IgG blood test results, this data is stored locally on your device only.
OpenFoodFacts API: Barcode numbers sent to retrieve product info. No personal data included.
Firebase Analytics: Anonymous usage events with no personally identifiable information.
The App may link to third-party services including blood test providers, subject to their own privacy policies.
All personal data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Uninstalling the App deletes all locally stored data.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
